Word Gets Around Networking - Meet the Business - Ruth Lambert - Federation of Small Businesses20/5/2020 In this video, we chat with Ruth Lambert, Development Manager at the Federation of Small Businesses. We discuss the role the FSB has had in helping businesses during Covid-19 and some of the challenges their members have faced.
They work in partnership with local councils, HMRC and central government to help businesses to get the support they need. In these unprecedented times, it can be a time for business owners to see the opportunities, and while in lockdown to take stock of where their business is, and embrace online tools to get the support they need. Ruth works in the Field Staff Team as a Development Manager responsible for Somerset and Wiltshire and supports their members on a local basis. Working with volunteers across the area she raises awareness of issues affecting their members and works on projects to support them. This can include to MPs and local councils about what is important to the success of a small business, through to selling in stories to local press. As experts in business, the FSB offers their members a wide range of vital business services including advice, financial expertise, support and a powerful voice in government. Their sole aim is to help smaller businesses to achieve their ambitions.
